Meet Our 2024 Gala Honorees!

JON ROSNER
Honoree

Jon Rosner is Managing Director, Commerce Payments at Chase with responsibility for Digital Wallet Strategy and Partnerships.  He is also a member of the Response Working Group at JP Morgan Chase which guides the firm’s response to the events of October 7th and rise of global antisemitism. Jon and his family moved to White Plains in 2008 and immediately joined HIWP.  Jon and his family have been active members of the Westchester Jewish community.  Jon is a former board member of Westchester Day School and his wife Dena is a former board member of HIWP. While Jon begrudgingly agreed to be honored with Ori Shmuel at the HIWP dinner, he looks forward to celebrating with friends and family on June 2.

ORI SHMUL
Honoree

Ori Shmul is a Senior Engineer at Con Edison who works professionally to bring about a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable world through Smart Grid technology. Ori and his family joined the Hebrew Institute of White Plains in 2018 and have been active members of the Westchester Jewish Community since then. In the work that they do for our shul community, they bring that same passion for safety, innovation, and Tikkun Olam.
Ori looks forward to celebrating with friends and family on June 2.

JAMIE SCHNEIDER
Community Builder Award Recipient

Jamie Schneider Schwartz has been living in White Plains for two years with her husband, Kivi and children Lev (3 years old) and Rosie (6 months) after moving from Riverdale. Jamie is originally from Scarsdale, living less than 10 minutes away from her childhood home! Jamie received her BA in Early Childhood Education from Yeshiva University, Stern College, and her MA in Early Childhood Special Education from Hunter Graduate School of Education. Jamie works at SAR, her beloved alma mater, where she teaches in the Early Learning Center, coordinates their professional development program, and mentors educators. Through her background in Jewish Education, belief in creating inclusive spaces for children and families, and passion for building community, Jamie has been instrumental in building the Tot Shabbat program at HIWP. In addition, bringing people together is very important to Jamie, so in her free time, she loves hosting get-togethers for friends and family and also greatly enjoys (and has had successes!) making shidduchim.
